By car:

The ‘Institut für Geowissenschaften’ is situated in the northwest of Frankfurt on the ‘Niederurseler Hang’ between the ‘Autobahn 661’ and freeway ‘Rosa-Luxemburg-Straße’ (see map):

• Leave the Autobahn 661 on exit ‘Heddernheim-Nordweststadt-Riedberg-Mertonviertel’, drive along ‘Marie-Curie Straße’ then turn right onto ‘Altenhöferallee’.
• Coming from A66 or Frankfurt city center: From the Autobahn exit ‘Frankfurt-Miquelallee’ drive towards ‘Nordweststadt-Eschersheim-Ginnheim’ (‘Rosa-Luxemburg-Straße’) until you reach the exit ‘Mertonviertel’. Drive along ‘Marie-Curie-Strasse’ then turn left onto ‘Altenhöferallee’.

Via public transport:

Place of departure: Main train station (Hauptbahnhof)

There are two possibilities:

1. S8, 9, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or S6 towards ‘Hauptwache’. Change to U2 direction ‘Bad Homburg – Gonzenheim’ or ‘Nieder Eschbach’. When you have reached ‘Sandelmühle’ change to busline 26 direction ‘Frankfurt (Main) U-Bahn-Station Nordwestzentrum’. Step off the bus on exit ‘Uni Campus Riedberg’.
2. S6 direction ‘Friedberg’ until train station ‘Eschersheim’, change then to busline 26 towards ‘Nordwestzentrum’. Step off the bus on exit ‘Uni Campus Riedberg’.

Place of departure: Frankfurt Airport

• S8 or S9 direction ‘Hanau Hauptbahnhof’ until ‘Hauptwache’. Change to U2 in the direction ‘Bad Homburg – Gonzenheim’ or ‘Nieder Eschbach’. When you have reached ‘Sandelmühle’ change to busline 26 direction ‘Frankfurt (Main) U-Bahn-Station Nordwestzentrum’. Step off the bus on exit ‘Uni Campus Riedberg’.

Place of departure: Frankfurt Messe

• S6 direction ‘Friedberg (Hessen)’ until ‘Eschersheim Bahnhof’, change to busline 26 direction ’Frankfurt (Main) U-Bahn-Station Nordwestzentrum’. Step off the bus on exit ‘Uni Campus Riedberg’.
